Andrew Disley, Harry Middleton Cycling Club

andrew disley cyclingI started racing in 2015, things got off to a good start and I began to move up the the licence categories early in the season. I continued to place well in races and this gave me the idea for #ProjectOne; the goal to attain my first category licence in one season.

Mid-season I was suffering with an injury and Phil was recommend to me by a club mate. After my first visit with Phil I left feeling very positive about the treatment plan and I was able to continue racing and complete #ProjectOne.

For 2016, I’m working with a coach and my main goals are to develop and gain experience of racing at a higher level. My goal over the next 2 years is to attain my elite licence #ProjectE.

Regular sessions with Phil will be an important part of my season as I put my body through higher workloads.

Marc Heuston, Liverpool Century RC

marc heustonI’m delighted to be supported by Phil at Sports Therapy Liverpool this year as I look to build on what was an enjoyable and somewhat successful first year racing for Liverpool Century RC in 2015. I spent the majority of 2015 gaining experience on the road, and raced a number of Hill Climbs (including the 2015 National Hill Climb) and placed top-20 in the overall standings in the North West Cyclocross League.

The support received from Phil will allow me to prepare and recover from races and play a big part in the general maintenance for what will be a long (and hopefully successful) season. This support will fit in alongside the substantial support already received from the coaches at LJMU.
